Each event venue has a different environment for a performer, whether the event is indoors, outdoors, in spaces with low ceilings, heritage buildings, or other settings. Our performers inspect each site to mitigate any safety or risk management implications. Each venue requires safe work guidelines to be followed, and risks need to be assessed and managed.
Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) can be supplied on request; these will address all hazards, risks, concerns, and measures taken to minimize and control these risks.
In some cases, early arrival may be needed to complete an on-site assessment, depending on the venue and factors of risk.
The venue manager and performer can deem the appropriate space for the performance post the risk analysis, considering factors such as weather and environment (wind, dry bushland, low ceilings, etc.).
All performers are trained and equipped with a safety kit, including at a minimum a fire safety blanket, fire extinguisher, cotton extinguishing towels, a basic first aid kit, and parameters for the performance space. An additional person will be trained in fire safety to oversee the performance throughout its duration.
Safety is the most important aspect of any fire performance for both the performers and the venue. All our performers are trained professionals with public liability insurance.
To this date, we have never had the need to use any of our fire safety equipment or the use of public liability insurance.
